Mary Jo Juarez
Before working at Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Northwest, as a contracting officer, Mary Jo spent 10 years in a variety of positions overseas. This included the Administrative Officer and Labor Relations Specialist for the Public Works Department in Sigonella, Sicily, the Family Housing Director at Adak, Alaska, and the Family and Bachelor Housing Manager at Iwakuni, Japan. She previously worked for other agencies including Internal Revenue Service, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Social Security Administration. Mary Jo is the recipient of many awards including Public Advocate of the Year from the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development and Washington State Small Business Veteran’s Champion of the Year Award. She has served on many diversity boards and is currently a board member for Money Wise Women and the Astra Women’s Business Alliance Board. |

Mary
Jo Juarez has recently retired from the federal government with a career of over
30 years in government contracting. She spend the last 10 years working as
the Deputy for Small Business at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command,
Northwest to assist the Navy in meeting their small business goals and educating
small business firms in obtaining certifications, marketing, and opportunities
with the federal government.
